The aim of our London project is for the participants to improve their professional, linguistic, cultural and social skills. The students have already had English lessons at school, but in London they dealt with native speakers. This helped them to improve their language skills. Mastering everyday situations in a foreign country and foreign culture was also one of our goals. Furthermore, the students should get to know another school, other commercial processes and manners. The teaching content at the ECBM primarily included economic topics, but cultural and country-specific subjects were also dealt with. In this way, the students should gain a deeper insight into the British economy and life in Great Britain. Scientific work should also be promoted by the project. Not all students are used to this due to their level of education.
1. Paris 2020 The mobility could not be carried out due to the corona pandemic. 2. London 2022 The Berufsschule 4 sends 38 students to the ECBM in London. The students work in the commercial sector and are related to the international business world. Therefore, a stay abroad is an added value in all cases. After the stay, all students receive the Europass and, if they pass the exam, the ECBM certificate. Furthermore, the trainees can apply for the "Kaufmann International" from the AHK after completing their training. In addition, through their participation in the project, they posses two professional degrees, which is a unique selling point on the job market. Further more the students step out of their used environment and deal with a new culture as well as a foreign language. They also learn to organize themselves in a large group and leave their comfort zone.
