Objectives

The project was carried out as part of the internationalization strategy of the Berufskolleg West. On the one hand it offered the opportunity to ensure the advancement of the institution and on the other hand it provided the chance for further education of our educational staff. It therefore contributed as a means for quality assurance in the process of developing a qualitative sophisticated and competitive educational programme at international level in order to meet the new challenges within the Industry 4.0 concept. The objective of the project was to carry out four mobilities of staff for an individual further training in different fields with the focus on 'International project management', 'School development in Europe' and 'Intercultural co-operation'. The learning outcomes should be specifically integrated into the college's lessons, training programmes and curricula as well as the college's work on a European level and internationalization process of the institution. Contrary to planning language courses were attended; the colleagues will extend the 'Europeteam' and in the future support the work with our partner institutions abroad with regard to communication and mentoring the mobilities of learners.

Background

This project was part of the international strategy of the vocational college Berufkolleg West as well as part of its quality and school development objectives. The Berufskolleg West is based on a school culture that supports activities in EU-orientated issues. By granting further education courses within a European context for our personnel we work on our qualitative and quantitative objectives of the college's European development plan and want to tailor our work process orienated to current European and national developments. We use ERASMUS+-projects to enhance the individual competence and personality development of educational staff in order to then profit from it in our institutional and pedagogic work.
