Objectives

The aim of the project is to enrich the work on self-directed learning (SegeL) through targeted training and exchange with colleagues from different countries. In addition, colleagues should be prepared to organize exchange programs for the students themselves. The participating teachers hoped to broaden their view of new impulses for differentiation, self-efficacy and independent learning. These should then be able to flow directly into the SegeL study days and serve as a basis for the development of new materials and teaching concepts.

Background

As a community school, the Fritz Karsen School is always faced with the challenge of developing further in order to meet the individual needs of the students. On the one hand, the students come from very different socio-economic families, and on the other hand, inclusion is an integral part of the school. Both require continuous further development of the learning arrangements and materials in order to lead all students to the best possible school leaving certificate. The college has set out to anchor this in the school's program through self-directed learning (SegeL). The SegeL work process is to be supported and enriched by a broad-based training concept. The Erasmus+ project is part of this advanced training concept. In addition, some training courses should help to strengthen the role of the students and open up opportunities for international exchange.
