One aim of the project was to improve the digital skills of our teachers. In the digital world it is of great importance that teachers can handle the new technologies. Lessons can be made more exciting and interactive, and our students can be better prepared for the demands of the professional world. Another goal was to strengthen inclusion at our school. Through the further training "Living together: special needs schools, integration and inclusion..." our colleagues were able to get to know new methods and good examples that we can use at our school in the area of inclusion. The aim of the job shadowing in the field of career orientation was that we could exchange ideas with the staff of the Italian school in the field of career orientation and show each other methods, good practical examples and didactic concepts and learn from each other. Basically, places for school internships in Italy should be found.
The project was carried out to ensure that our teachers are well trained in digital skills, as these skills are becoming increasingly important in the professional world. In addition, the topic of combating educational failure and reducing early school leaving was originally planned. Due to Corona, the selected course was not offered and therefore a course in the field of inclusion was attended, since the composition of the student body at our school is becoming more and more heterogeneous and therefore more challenging. Job shadowing was carried out in the area of career orientation. The main color of the job shadowing was how the Italian school carries out careers orientation and what we can take away from it for our school. Methods, good practical examples and didactic concepts could be exchanged mutually in order to prepare our students well for the international professional world.
