As a European school, not only students but also colleagues should be trained in intercultural skills. More and more children with different migration backgrounds attend our school, so that an intercultural sensitivity becomes more and more important in the daily interaction. In addition, inhibitions in cooperation and communication with international partners should be reduced, so that our school partnerships with Hungary, Slovakia and France also benefit from this. A second focus, as described above, is the expansion of the digital competencies of the teachers of the Georgianum Gymnasium. The necessity of this results from the advancing school development in this area, which was described in detail in the application. Furthermore, the bilingual classes as well as the international profile classes benefit from the experiences of the participants and consolidate this profiling. (see application)
Gymnasium Georgianum was again certified as a European School in 2019 and Erasmus or Comenius projects have already been a tradition for several years. The continuation and expansion of internationalization is therefore an integral part of the school program, so Erasmus+ is ideally suited for this purpose. As many colleagues as possible should be given the opportunity to exchange with European colleagues. In addition, the need for further training in the area of digitization was imperative due to the media education concept adopted in 2019 and the introduction of tablet classes in order to bring colleagues along on this path (see application).
