The goals of our project were to expand and deepen competence in using tablets, to learn and apply new active teaching methods related to inclusion (including physical and outdoor activities), and to increase environmental awareness for the entire school community.
We came up with the idea to carry out this project while participating in an Erasmus project as part of Key Action 2, with a focus on inclusion. During our visit to special education schools in Wales, both teachers and regular as well as special education students were impressed by the different teaching methods employed in a special education setting. It became clear to us that altered teaching methods could facilitate the implementation of inclusion at our secondary school. As a result, we concluded that teachers should receive further training to make these teaching methods accessible to everyone. The focus on sustainability was chosen because our school had already participated in the Plant for the Planet project, and we wanted to further develop our school from that perspective. Overall, our goal was to enhance the quality of our education through this project.
