The following goals were the focus of this project: 1. A focus was on the need for improvement in the area of mindfulness/teacher health and self-management. Due to external requirements and internal school regulations as well as a high level of extra-curricular commitment, our school offers a broad and time-intensive field of activity for individual colleagues in addition to the usual weekly workload. Here we gave colleagues from different departments the opportunity to continue their training in courses that focus on the topics mentioned above. 2. As a 'Zukunftsschule' (School of the Future), we focus on sustainability and therefore also saw a need in the area of nature experiences. Colleagues were able to gain and try out experience, knowledge and methodological approaches in courses, which could then be conveyed in class as best practice. 3. In order to continue to ensure high-quality teaching that thinks outside the box and to be able to successfully plan and implement projects, colleagues were given the opportunity to continue their training in these areas and to select the aspects most relevant to them and their professional activities and apply them in their lessons.
Due to the very wide range of interests of our students, the staff at our school is also very interested in continuing their education in order to prevent a standstill in the classroom and extracurricular topics and methods. This project therefore focused on a few selected topics, such as for example teacher health and (stress) management, nature experiences, development of intercultural competences, all of which were selected on the basis of feedback from the teaching staff after past projects, and for the first time also job shadowing. The expansion of intercultural skills as well as international cooperation with school partners was a focus within the latter activities.
