Objectives

In our European development plan, which we have updated as part of our 2021/22 accreditation, we would like to improve communication between all those involved in education and support better understanding and cooperation, and thus also better support in the learning process. Through teacher training to promote multilingualism, digital and intercultural skills, we want to further develop our vocational college in line with the Erasmus+ goals and make it fit for the future. In this way, we will improve the lifelong learning and mobility of our staff. We also want to improve the quality of our work in the field of vocational education and training and promote innovation and creativity. Getting to know teachers from other countries, exchanging information about education systems and establishing contacts for future joint projects are also important outcomes. We wanted to get professional impulses from the Dutch or Scandinavian area with the job shadowing in the social pedagogical area. Finally, through the mobility of the teachers, we would like them to tell their students enthusiastically about the opportunities Europe offers and motivate them to make similar experiences themselves.

Background

Our vocational college has been enabling its teachers to participate in Erasmus+ funded training for several years now. The Corona pandemic has changed many things and made some things more difficult. Nevertheless, European teacher training is an important element of our European profile, which we have also further sharpened in the context of the successful European School Certification process. We would like to deepen the positive experiences of teachers and also introduce teachers and school staff who have not yet participated to these opportunities. We would also like to make the new job shadowing offer better known in the college. Our main goals of promoting multilingualism and intercultural and ditigal competences are reflected in our school development areas. In regular Europe Cafés, there is an exchange and evaluation of the in-service training.
