Background

The internationalization of vocational education and training is a high priority in Lower Saxony. It is an important goal anchored in the strategic orientation framework for vocational education and training of Lower Saxony. Internationalization at school succeeds if this is not understood solely as a task for individual dedicated teachers, but rather is reflected at all levels of the school, from the mission statement and the school program to the school profile and the individual learning situations in the classroom. The promotion of a competence-oriented learning culture is partly anchored in the school programs of the vocational schools; the following areas, among others, are taken into account: Expansion of learning mobilities for staff and learners Raising awareness of the topic of Europeanization in everyday school life Staff and teaching development Material strategic measures - introduction of certifications and additional qualifications Public Relations Measures beyond the school - cooperation with partners outside school We carried out the project to pool resources and enable educational staff to participate in European job shadowing and training, to build contacts and to further develop the institution of school.
