Ideas for the use of new methods, teaching styles, and digital media were to be collected and implemented in appropriate areas. Furthermore, the collection of ideas for the design of the language classrooms was a concern. On a personal level, the focus was on improving language skills, as well as an intercultural exchange with other countries.
In consultation with our colleagues, we wanted to focus specifically on job shadowing in the Scandinavian region. We hoped for input regarding European open methods of classroom management. The methods, forms of teaching, the use of digital media and systemic features were to be reflected upon and selected and adopted to suit our school‘s situation. In addition to the areas mentioned above, the design of the language classrooms is a current topic. Ideas for their design should be collected through the hospitations. The colleagues were supposed to profit from the stay in other European countries. Apart from the improvement of language skills, their personal development and improved teaching skills were another goal. Meeting other teachers promotes intercultural exchange and networking beyond school-related topics.
