Objectives

By making use of mobilities, different competences should be extended and improved as well as different goals of European dimensions should be achieved: * Enhancement of professional and methodological competences with regard to intensification of interdisciplinary teaching by integration of Europe-relevant topics as well as bilingual modules into the lessons * Enlargement of media competence by intensifying the use of ICT * Promotion of the foreign language skills of as many teachers as possible as a basis for involvement in international projects and motivation to initiate their own projects in the future * Consolidation of international contacts for the preparation of further Erasmus+ projects and the establishment of sustainable transnational cooperation * Increase in the motivation of the participating teachers through their own positive experiences in other European countries * Expansion of knowledge about different European school types and systems In the short term, these mobility activities should contribute to the internationalization of the LEBK as a whole, to the initiation and implementation of further European projects, and to certification as "Europa-Schule" in the medium term.

Background

With this project "LEBK - Ready for Europe!" the Ludwig Erhard Vocational College (LEBK in German) has set itself the goal of enabling as many teachers as possible to carry the idea of Europe into the classroom and to motivate them to take part in international activities in the form of eTwinning projects, student exchanges, the organization of Europe days and workshops or the participation in European competitions. In addition to the various European activities (please take a look at "www.lebk.de") the LEBK is striving for certification as "Europa-Schule" in the medium term. Hence, this requires the cooperation of as many teachers as possible, since international work cannot and must not only weigh on a few shoulders, as it has been the case up to now. By being involved in this KA1 project, the colleagues in the non-foreign language subjects were intended to get to know methods of how they could integrate European topics even more interdisciplinarily and bilingually into their lessons as well as expand their own foreign language and intercultural competence and how digital media could be sensibly used in the lessons. Besides, it was supposed to strengthen existing European contacts and to establish new relationships.
