Objectives

The training courses should be used as a strategic tool for the initiation and development of digital skills as well as for the internationalization of our school and should lead to other future projects. We wanted to improve the digital skills of our teachers in order to be able to carry out high-quality European projects. The teachers should serve as multipliers and let the projects flow into our quality program. Knowledge of the efficient use of ICT tools in the classroom should be shared among several colleagues in order to be able to continue working on new projects in the field of student internships or cooperation with external, international partners. We wanted to strengthen our school in the area of internationalization and full and part-time students as well as offering our teachers to take part in future European projects. The future development of our school towards Europe can then be be initiated, supported and positively influenced by the entire school staff to a far greater extend.

Background

We have a need for internationalization in vocational training in order to fit within our organization of teaching and learning to develop unique selling points and attractiveness for our school location. Above all, however, it is important to us that our students concentrate on working with software and online tools in a joint preparation for Europe in the most expedient way possible. The exchange with European teachers in relation to ICT tools and their experiences in their teaching, the improvement of digital competence and the ability to act of the participating colleagues is what we intended to achieve. As a result, the targeted, structured use of digital learning methods in the school program and in the curricula to generate an improvement in the quality of teaching among teachers and students and to strengthen the European dimension at school is our goal.
