Objectives

The international opening of the school and the motivation of the staff for intercultural topics should lead to the expansion of key competencies, such as language skills, and cross-sectional competencies, such as cosmopolitanism. Deepening and expanding international contacts, as well as European experiences should lead to a strategic development of our school in the direction of Europe. Since there were only a few project management skills, new colleagues in particular were supposed to improve them at seminars. Exchange of experiences in job shadowing about pedagogical concepts, ethical approaches, teaching and learning methods as well as the digital infrastructure of the partner schools should help to improve the teaching, the curricula and the implementation of the media development plan. At the same time as Ka 2 mobilities, participants visited the partners to get to know teaching and learning methods, pedagogical concepts and students and colleagues. The initiation of further projects, such as student internships, should be prepared. Intercultural skills should make work easier when dealing with students with a migration background. Through the European dimension of our school, our students should become mature Europeans.

Background

As a vocational school in a rural area, it was important to us to develop internationalization and to anchor it in the school program. There was a need for intercultural skills, especially because of our students with foreign roots. Through seminars + job shadowing, the school management wanted to expand these skills and motivate the staff for further projects. Dissemination and multiplication of the previous Erasmus projects led to an increase in interest in seminars + job shadowing, especially among non-language teachers. The digital infrastructure of the partner schools was interesting for the implementation of our media development plan. Young generation teachers should be equipped with project management and intercultural skills. Contacts with partner schools and colleagues should be intensified or newly established in order to initiate further projects, such as internships. We also have a KA2 project to enable pupils to have a direct exchange. Our school profile is based on the fact that all people involved in school life develop an attitude towards tolerance and cosmopolitanism, which counteracts extreme political currents and promotes the European idea.
