1. Strengthening the skills of the teaching staff in the use of digital media and end devices. 2. Improved use of digital media and integration into the curricula. 3. Further training in media education in order to be able to offer our students support and advice in the modern digital world. Exactly these goals at that time have been reinforced to a completely different extent in the pandemic. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the advanced trainings could only happen in the aftermath. Nevertheless, the topics of the training courses were exactly the right ones for the challenges of the last three years.
In 2020, we applied because we hoped to further professionalize our teaching staff, motivate teachers to continue their education and further develop our school and our teaching activities. Since we as a vocational school are also encouraged by our partners in the learning location cooperation to develop in line with the economy, this is a prerequisite for us to be able to maintain our location in the rural area. The shrinking student numbers at the time made us realize that further digitization and also internationalization of our school and our school profile are essential in the competition for students and companies. However, the pandemic that followed made it clear to us once again in a completely different way how important it is to digitize our teaching units. Of course, it also showed us how important it is to have a personal relationship between student and teacher, but the ability to access content digitally has been an integral part of everything we do ever since.
