At a time when young people across Europe are taking to the streets to protest for the protection of the climate and the environment, our project entitled "Earth and Us", at the suggestion of last year's participants, focuses on the complex relationship between humankind and the planet. Our project has two core objectives: On the one hand, young Europeans are encouraged to act as responsible and critical EU citizens by dealing with a political issue that is of burning importance to young people throughout Europe. In this sense, the project wants to contribute to the implementation of Youth Goal No. 10 („Sustainable Green Europe"). In terms of activation and empowerment, the participation of young people in the preparation, implementation and follow-up of the youth exchange is a central component of our project. On the other hand, it is about making the EU motto "United in Diversity" a positive experience: Our project aims at promoting diversity awareness and inclusion, i.e. an appreciative attitude towards social diversity, which is why great importance is attached to the heterogeneous composition of the participants.
