* Project idea and need to carry out Marginalization and social exclusion of individuals and groups are a reality in virtually every society and in every period of human history. In the second part of the 20th century - driven by human rights aspects and social research - national governments, transnational bodies and institutions (UN / EU) paid more and more attention to the improvement of the situation of those who are excluded. Civil society, self-organizations and advocacy groups, social researchers and NGO’s played a crucial role in addressing the issue of social exclusion and in advocating sustainable changes. In the area of marginalization and social exclusion, many different aspects and issues have to be addressed, such as discrimination, racism, poverty, globalization, immigration, social welfare, health and human rights. Also, the list of potentially or actually marginalized and excluded individuals, groups and populations is extensive: ethnic minorities, immigrants, disabled persons, isolated older persons, ex-prisoners, drug users, people living with HIV / AIDS, psychiatric patients, sex workers, homeless people and marginalized youth. These people and groups face common social, economic and individual problems, even if their backgrounds may be diverse and different. Definitions or indicators for marginalization and social exclusion might vary in different settings and regions: for instance, poverty is related to the economic level of the particular country, drug users are more excluded and criminalized in particular regions and countries than in others. To promote these categories of people, it is necessary to set out mechanisms and methodologies that will offer opportunities for social promotion to EU marginalized people who have limited opportunities for social promotion. The NGO sector can offer training, promotion and socialization opportunities to these categories of people. Because of these conclusions, 7 NGOs participated in a Training Course in Porto Portugal through which they exchanged national practices and experiences in the field of social support, promotion and socialization of vulnerable marginalized categories. Objectives of this training course were: - Improving participants' personal knowledge and approaching the issues of creating inclusive societies and promoting marginalized people - Creating opportunities to promote participants with fewer opportunities - marginalized participants who will have the opportunity for international cooperation - Assessment of local population needs and analysis of decisions affecting the limited social life of marginalized residents- Managing and organizing public awareness raising activities in the EU to promote a marginalized category of EU citizens - Providing space for participants with fewer opportunities to participate in the process as key decision makers- Researching and defining activities to create activities to bring marginalized people closer to an active social society - Defining activities for creating new innovative solutions and space for securing the human rights of marginalized people- right to education, right to protection, right to treatment, right to choice and right to education - Implementation of tools for promoting social dialogue and promoting participants with fewer opportunities as an active part of international international cooperation - Creating networking among partners and improving organizational capacity and creating space for future long-term collaborations - Promote a positive image of marginalized residents in the EU and promote them at open public events - Organizing intercultural nights and promoting diversity in the EU, promoting national cultures, traditions, languages and cultural features - Organizing public events to promote methodologies to raise awareness of EU residents and improve their visions, understandings and behaviors towards marginalized EU citizens
