Objectives

Addressing more specifically the main theme, violence is of all time: wars, armed conflicts, civil wars, reprisals, terrorism, exodus, exile, etc. For some years, violence has taken new forms. It is found in the world of work by pressure, exclusion, pauperization of the masses, economic insecurity, loss of work, the disintegration of the social bond, the breakup of the family unit and the couple; violence in school, from incivility to aggression. This shows that there can be active violence and violence without contact (e.g. verbal or moral), and that they are often dialectical with each other. Women are the most affected group by violence (physically, at work or home, etc.). We want to develop intercultural dialogue, tolerance, mutual respect, the solidarity of young people from different countries and backgrounds by implementing their creative abilities around this collective project. We want to allow the group of young people from 6 different countries to work together on an artistic and cultural project to be held in Hamburg. It will also allow to live a common adventure of creation, to concretely understand what makes their difference and at the same time what makes them bear common values, in order to fight against all forms of violence and to release the voices of reconciliation. The gateway to this project will be the dance with physical contacts to better understand violence in all its forms. This project aims to participate in the eradication of all the plagues mentioned above. The dance will be the front door which is often appreciated by young people. To dance means to know oneself better, to respect oneself, to be reconciled with oneself and others. We chose the dance to externalize the suffering of violence or at least a conflict. Both are the very foundation of the dance. There must be a conflict between the protagonists to be able to analyze a dramatic situation. We will bring this conflict and its interrogation into play so that we are able to see its resolution which is the essence of the dance.
