Fighting racism is a battle that must begin with itself, taking the time to know the other, its culture, its religion and its customs. Then ignorance, prejudices, fear, scorn and exclusion will no longer be right. It is also to educate others to be able to overcome anything that can lead them to racist behaviour. This youth exchange project aims to involve 40 young participants to promote mutual understanding and solidarity through cooking. We want, through food, to reflect cultural diversity and European citizenship. The participants will cook together for 8 days, exchange their own traditional recipes and share their best practices on intercultural management and ways to fight against racism. The objectives sought during this exchange are the following: • to promote exchanges between young people from different social backgrounds and cultures • to promote the expression of the young audience through the cuisine • valuing the work of those who are easily blamed or discriminated against and who often come from elsewhere • to transform the image of neighbourhoods and its inhabitants • to enrich the diversity and contribution of migrant populations • to fight against racism and discrimination • to share the cuisine
