In a time of overlapping crises, we wanted to set a positive counter-sign. It is not only possible to create something together across nationality and language barriers, it enriches, inspires and continues beyond. If the goal is a public performance and the path to it is the theatrical, dance, performative, musical collaboration - in other words, ultimately creating something purposeless, immaterial, non-commercial, the focus can be directed to the thing itself, to the joint process. The participants experience an opportunity that they take home with them, that will accompany them throughout their lives. Artistic work is about the creative individual. It creates, inspires and changes the surrounding environment. It's empowering. This experience is important, especially nowadays, when young people sometimes don't know whether they move the world or the world moves them. Using the Grimm fairy tale Hansel and Gretel as a model, which is well-known in many countries, we will explore the process of growing up and self-empowerment inherent in this story. Each participant can reflect it against the backdrop of his or her own biography, which gives the contact with each other a completely new quality. The desire and joy of European cooperation, of our multi-layered interlocking cultures that form such a rich, large, completed piece was our focus. Along the way, we promote mobility and, of course, the language competence that such a project requires.
