Objectives

This year we wanted to focus on what drives young people, what is important to them to feel good in life and in their environment. One of the reasons for the choice of theme was that the use of modern technology and digitalisation is accompanied by a change in young people's mental health, communication and participation within society. The theme was titled "Youth-Environment-Technology. #OurFuture!". This was to address the following questions: Do we have the future in our hands or does it have us? How can we shape this new development in a meaningful way for us? How can we positively influence the future? Are young people becoming less engaged or is it the new technology that is connecting them globally? What are the commonalities across countries that connect young people in terms of technology and everyday life? Is it worth being involved in decision-making processes for the future? The aim was also to look at the European Youth Goals "Mental Health and Well-being" and "Spaces and Participation for All". The objectives were : - To deal with the digital transformation, the use of modern technology in everyday life, one's own ideas about the future and possibilities for participation across countries. - To work out common possibilities for action for a future in the digital age. - To work out commonalities and positive images of the future of the young people and to promote understanding and solidarity between them. - Initiating contacts - trying out new forms of communication - Expressing and representing needs and concerns - Learning to deal with criticism, training conflict management skills - Raising awareness of one's own views and behaviour - Tolerance of ambiguity and empathy - Self-awareness and self-confidence - Critical, creative and interactive examination of the topics of technology and the future and the positive and negative impact on the environment - Encouraging creativity in dealing with ideas and images of the future - Promoting soft skills, such as teamwork, communication and conflict skills, time management, empathy and presentation - Learning to set their own rules for dealing with modern technology - Collecting ideas on how to participate socially and writing them down in the form of a guideline - Understand what impact the use of technical devices can have on the environment. - Develop strategies for dealing with one's own health in the age of technology.
