Objectives

The project had two main objectives, which are very much interlinked: Local youth workers in Brasov, Krakow and Nürnberg should be given the opportunity to become acquainted with the field of international youth work and be given practical tools for the implementation in their professional position. The second goal was to match youth workers from the three partner cities and build up new cooperations. The project was designed as a training for fresh forces. The practical approach was intended to give colleagues opportunity to learn together and to plan future youth exchanges. The main topics were principles and methods of non-formal education and awareness for diversity consciousness. Two trainings in Nürnberg and Krakow were implemented. Since the two training weeks build on each other, it was desirable that the participants are identical. It was planned to integrate 6-8 participants from each of the three participating countries into the training measure, who must have sufficient English language skills and have the perspective to carry out international youth work. Further cooperation between the coordinating organizations is desirable, in order to promote better conditions for international youth work in all three cities.
