Global thinking - local action: We want to illuminate this motto with young people and actively use it to help achieve climate policy goals. Furthermore, we want to achieve that those young people from different cultures are sensitised for their own political voice and deal with the effectiveness of their own actions. In doing so, we have a special focus on the needs of people with a migration background and want to collectively work out what a green, diverse Europe can look like. The increasing right-wing tendencies in our European society show how important it is to deal intensively with diversity and social justice and to combine these with sustainability. To this end, the project aims to work out together in what framework identification with a region is beneficial and when it delimits others. The project promotes cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue in particular by having the participants work together on the question of lifestyle and the idea of what a good life is in the respective countries. During the exchange, the focus is on the development of common values, which should in particular contribute to ensuring that future generations will still have a sufficiently good basis for life. The suggestions and critical questions brought back home are to be carried on after the youth exchange through the dissemination of non-formal learning methods.
