Objectives

This project was an intercultural dialogue project involving young people from Ukraine, Germany, Poland, Georgia, Armenia, and Slovakia. Nowadays there is a huge problem of social exclusion due to different reasons in the world, such as misinformation and hate speech, discrimination based on status, background or appearance of a person. Also this problem presents challenges arising from the cultural differences that are an intrinsic part of people's. So we gathered young people to discover and reflect on this topic together. Together we tried to find solutions on our community level. Our project consisted of 2 parts. During the first youth exchange we got into the topic of exclusion and marginalization due to the relationships between people, the acceptance of others without discriminations and with the ability to empathy. We learned about social integration and how to socialize young people to active social lives. During the second youth exchange we got more specific on the topic of inclusion of the people with fewer opportunities. We learned how to encourage young people to youth participation, activism and civil engagement. The problem of exclusion leads to the problem of the low level of social awareness and low level of skills and knowledge of the youth. We had a special focus on improving and developing the key competencies of our participants, opening their talents and overcoming different challenges for gaining new experiences. Thus the objectives of our project were finding reasons and solutions to the problems of exclusion, youth unemployment and marginalization; knowing about country realities of each other and exchange the experiences for developing our own communities through successful tools and methods of the participating countries. We were aslo developing youth' skills to spot, reflect and deal with cultural, economical or environmental issues and encourage diversity. This project also addressed to enhance self-confidence and believe in the power of everybody. Moreover, we wanted to raise the level of youth participation and active responsible citizenship by learning about youth activism and the inclusion of youth into decision-making process on the community level.
