“Human change not climate change (HCNCC)” project will provide youth workers with new knowledge and competences on climate change. In this regard, the specific objectives of the project for youth workers are: •To better understand the threat of climate change for present and future generations •To explore cause & effect of climate change and understanding the influence of human activities •To learn what Intergenerational Justice and Accountability is and how young people of today will still be alive to bear the climate impacts of tomorrow caused by the older generation. •To discover the importance of climate change mitigation and adaptation to prevent the negative impacts that climate change can causes on human life and on the planet. •To explore the concept of Climate Justice and think about why those who are least responsible for climate change are suffering the gravest consequences. •To discuss climate change implications at global levels, going through, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the European Green new deal. •To think about how different young people are motivated (or demotivated) to act on climate change for many reasons and explore how youth workers can empower them. •To consider the acceptability and effectiveness of various forms of social action in response to climate change. •To prepare participants to introduce what learnt to their youth work practice through the creation of common project proposals.
