The following objectectives were achieved by implementing the project "Roots and Borders": - Young participants and professionals of youth work analysed deeply the topic of flight and migration from a historical and current political perspective, individual stories of people served as example and help deepen the understanding and new gained knowledge. - Young participants developped a concept of an exhibition that deals with the topic identity and migration, they presented it in their local surroundings and guide peers through it. - Young participants have been trained as peer guides. - Young participants and professionals of youth work learned the methods film and photo that helped to deal with the topic creatively. - Young participants and professionals of youth work developped a feeling of responsability, empathy and solidarity towards people having diverse backgrounds. - Young participants and professionals of youth work respected human dignity, develop a sense of justice and taught it to their peers. - Young participants and professionals of youth work were motivated to get involved in the civil society and will be made aware of options for actions against dicrimination and for more democracy. - Professionals of youth work prepared and implemented as a result of the training microprojects with young people in their local communities. - Professionals of youth work deepened their competences within the field of media pedagogy, conflict resolution methods as well as intercultural communication.
