Objectives

We as an organization used theater, Forum Theater, role play, drama in our activities with different disadvantage groups and especially in our work with Roma communities. After we have organized such activities (e.g. as part of our Hederlezi Cultural- and Streetfestival) and after participating in different other activities made by our partners we have seen that there are not to many people which know how to use in a good way those methods and also the fact that there are not to many trainings were to learn this methods. Theater, simulation activities and role games are strong tools for educating and promoting active citizenship among youth people and especially among disadvantaged young people. Those methods were created relaying on experiential learning and learning by doing approaches which help participants to live through the exercise/game and get a real life experience. This working methods can be used for more and diverse educational aims. Using this method the young people and especially disadvantaged young people acquire more new skills and competences. Wirh this trainig cours ewe wanted to connted youth workers and social workers and others who are interested in these methods to exchange experience, to disseminate information about methods and their impact, to learn new methods and, of course, to provide participants these kind of methods, how to use them, hiw ther work and how they can positivly impact their daily work with vulnerable groups in the future. Specially in this training will learned about the method of the role-playing simulation games: how to use this method, how to adapt different simulation games and role-playing games for specific leaning objectives or purposes, and how to develop the simulation activities starting from the local realities. Our training course has addressed youth workers and youth leaders from 7 countries (Bulgaria, Italy, Romania, Serbia, North-Macedonia, Hungary and Germany).
