Objectives

The "CYBERSTYLER: EUROPE INTERCONNECTED" project aimed to bring together 60 young people from eight nations to connect the digital and tangible worlds. "In search of what connects, young people transform their ideas, carry them to each other, and realize them using traditional and digital media and their own creativity." CYBERSTYLER should speak out firmly against the division of society. Europe is complex, large and diverse, but its inhabitants can stand together and achieve great things. This should be made clear by young people realizing their ideas together and in a creative way but without being careless with their own data on the Internet. In the project, young people choose workshops based on their interests. The activities and workshops are a selection from: Audio Book, Light Painting, Photography, Social Media, Comic, Calligraphy, Flash Mob, Theater, Film, Documentary, Stop Motion. The workshops which in the end were available to the youth in the core of the project were: Podcast, Photography, Storyboard, Performance, Video. In addition to the workshop work, there were to be daily intercultural team building phases with cultural pedagogical methods to bring the individual groups together, to stimulate intercultural dialogue and to counteract intolerance. The key competencies acquired in the intercultural units and interaction pedagogical work phases (such as language competence, factual competence, methodological competence, self-competence and social competence) strengthen the young people and expand their opportunities, e.g. on the labor market, especially those young people from social need situations. CYBERSTYLER uses the possibilities of the city and the Wellritzstraße and is a cooperation project with municipal and non-profit free organizations. The project was carried out in the rooms of the arco forum and the youth hostel. CYBERSTYLER symbolically posed for the unlimited potential of a group that can connect with each other - and with all of Europe - beyond national, biographical or ethnic borders, if only they are able to find what connects them.
