The project participants from different cultures were given the opportunity to get in touch with each other and to work together on the same topic. The focus of the project was on the technical and subject-specific activities and exercise units in order to learn how to program, plan and carry out robot construction and the use of drones together in the guided workshops. The focus of the project was on the technical and subject-specific activities and exercise units in order to learn how to program, plan and carry out robot construction and the use of drones together in the guided workshops. The activities aimed to increase the knowledge of the participants in the digital field (programming, coding, robotics and drone technology) as well as to promote the acquisition of communication skills in international teams, which are necessary for successful cooperation in . An important part of the learning process was the hands-on phase, although it uses interactive techniques - participants are given the opportunity to translate theoretical knowledge into reality and into programmable robots (affordable learning robot “MEET EDISON”, https://meetedison.com/). Many questions were addressed: Who is allowed to fly a drone? Where can I fly my drone? What permits are required? Which laws and guidelines as well as bans and restrictions are there in Germany and which regulations are identical in other partner countries? Many questions could be answered and necessary actions taken during the encounter, such as taking out drone liability insurance and compiling important information (here is more information on this: Comparison of the best drone insurance policies), as from January 1st, 2021 new EU Drone Ordinance with new rules, laws and specifications that have standardized the drone laws across the EU.
