Objectives

As a relatively large newly merged organisation, SOSU H was challenged to prioritize international activities. Partly we lacked common frameworks and procedures and partly because Erasmus+ and international activities were not described in the organisation's strategy at the time. The project therefore had to maintain focus and create increased focus on the values of the international activities. With the project, we at SOSU H wanted to contribute to and develop the education seekers' interest in and ability to actively participate in a democratic society, to contribute to their personal development, character formation and professional pride, and of course to give the education seekers knowledge about international relations and knowledge as a basis for work and education abroad. Recruiting more students and employees for our programs and for the Vocational training area in general has also been one of our goals with the project. We believe that International knowledge, curiosity and mobility are one of several parameters to increase the image of Vocational Education and the SOSU area in particular. With, among other things, Erasmus+ mobilities, we would thus give our students and employees greater academic pride and make them strong ambassadors for their programs and subjects.

Background

At SOSU H, we applied for the Erasmus+ KA1 project to maintain and develop many years of experience with international work. At the 2 old schools from before the merger into SOSU H, we have had a long tradition of collaborating in several areas in connection with European and international activities. In the new organisation, it was therefore natural to seek project funds to: - Sending students on internships abroad, as well as receiving the same from our foreign partners - Sending employees for skills development abroad - Develop students' and employees' professional, personal, linguistic and cultural competences - Improve the image of EUD in general and the SOSU programs in particular and to attract more students to the SOSU programs - Be inspired to improve the quality of SOSU H's offer, including fulfilling national goals for better quality in the education programs, etc. It was also important for us and according to the European agenda, to inspire education and work abroad.
