Skive College aimed to expand the existing collaborations in Europe and establish new ones with both companies and schools. Skive College aimed to develop new teaching methods and draw inspiration from alternative approaches to teaching, in order to continuously enhance the quality of education at the school. Skive College aspired to be a part of the international efforts, including within the EU, which is why the international coordinator was tasked with monitoring and influencing new development opportunities in the international arena. Skive College aimed to provide its students with the opportunity to gain an international perspective during their educational journey. This involved looking beyond the borders of the country for internships, exchange opportunities, and collaborations with international companies and other stakeholders.
The Skive College strategy for 2019-2023 includes a focus on internationalization, where Skive College aims to become an attractive educational institution locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. Skive College intends to internationalize the school at a pace that corresponds to the increasing internationalization in society and the industries covered by the school's programs. Part of the strategy states, "Through international work, the school will enhance the personal, professional, and linguistic qualifications of students, teachers, and other staff groups. It will also inspire innovative thinking in the ongoing process of developing programs and promoting engagement with new cultures, which are becoming an increasingly significant part of our everyday lives." To achieve this, ERASMUS+ plays a crucial role, as the program allows students, teachers, and other staff members to travel abroad and encounter different cultures while simultaneously gaining new experiences and teaching methods from other countries. This integration of new knowledge enriches the curriculum at Skive College, providing an international perspective and continuously enhancing the quality of education. ERASMUS+ offers the opportunity to realize Skive College's strategy of becoming an international school.
