Objectives

The students develop their internal cultural and linguistic competences and prepare a portfolio through the language school stay and the company internship. Through local accommodation with Spanish and German families, the students meet local residents and experience daily life and thus develop their knowledge of ways of life in the respective countries as well as strengthen their intercultural and linguistic competence. The internship in a company, where they will experience a different work culture up close, is also linked to work with a portfolio. The overall goal is that the students must participate in a collaboration in a company, as well as learn the company's terminology and business process, test theories in a specific company, gain knowledge about and recognition of the importance of the globalized world for individuals and companies, as well as differences in work culture and labor market conditions in Europe.

Background

Roskilde Handelsskole wanted to combine mobility students from 2 fields of study within languages (Spanish A, German A/B), marketing, economics and internationalization (Europe). In addition, we planned to send a group of German students from different classes. These students had to show special interest and abilities within German language and culture. The Erasmus+ project is an important part of the profile and goals of the fields of study, as it strengthens and in practice tests the professional, general and personal goals of the HHX education. All the stays applied for help to strengthen interest in and skills in languages. It gives our students practical experience of work and cultural exchange in Europe and gives them the courage to study and work abroad after high school.
