Training of diploma holders and tutors was identified as an important route to more and better accredited courses. This was achievable within a shorter time frame, as the efforts of recent years in relation to the diploma system began to bear fruit in cooperation with the English association in particular. Conflict management and training management were a priority area as Permaculture Denmark continued to grow in membership and there were motivated people to work with an improved organizational structure. Teacher courses at several levels would help to raise the didactic quality of the courses, both regarding conflict management on courses, social permaculture for inclusion in teaching and strengthening of own resources and social competences. Subject-specific courses for LAND teachers for use on courses and in communication. This could range from ecological construction, agricultural technical courses, local economic development, social permaculture, as well as internal knowledge sharing. The European network contributes to increased knowledge sharing and increased opportunities to engage teachers across borders. We would like to support this through cooperation with the Nordic associations, but also in the rest of Europe.
Permaculture Denmark would like to maintain and further develop the strategy around the development of the LAND network and education. Quality assurance of teaching in permaculture was the central approach with two levels of quality assurance: 1) In relation to the association and Nordic cooperation, the task was to develop and maintain the association's role: - as a guarantor for accredited teachers in relation to members and course participants - visibility of lecturers' competences and specialization via the website - training of new diploma holders and diploma tutors with a solid foundation of experience - development of teachers' guilds - development of networks and knowledge sharing in Europe, especially the Nordic and Baltic countries - conflict management in relation to the association's internal and external collaborations - administrative capacity 2) Quality assurance was also important in relation to trainers and courses: - support of professionalism and sustainable, independent LAND centers - several diploma holders and tutors with competence to administer the Permaculture Design Certificate Course (PDC) - development of niches for permaculture educators - expansion of cooperation between teachers and LAND centres
