The overall aim for this Mobility Project was to transfer new experiences and competences with social inclusive activities in other EU countries to the Danish cross-cultural sector of amateur arts, voluntary culture, and heritage. The objectives were: • To strengthen the exchange of experiences and transfer of new knowledge and skills between cross-cultural and liberal adult education associations in the European civil societies. • To promote cross-cultural activities with added community values as social inclusion, civic em-powerment, active citizenship, and community bonding.
The activities in the cross-cultural sector in the civil societies in the EU member states do not only provide joy, friendship, meaning and lifelong learning for the participants, but they also have many potentials to promote societal benefits and added community values, like social inclusion & cohesion, active citizenship & democracy, and environmental sustainability. However, these potentials can be improved by a more conscious development work by the learning providers in the sector and by a more continuously transfer of good practice examples between the countries. In our planned Erasmus+ mobility programme, we wish to focus on some of the most important added values, which we also have had focus on in our Nordic and European development projects, where the objective is to gain knowledge, compile latest know-how, and get new inspiration to work more consciously with strengthening these added community values, not only back home but also to include this enhanced know-how in future transnational development projects. We are sure the programme will help to promote knowledge, innovation and not least motivation for our participants, which is the key driver in culture NGOs, where most work as voluntary staff con amore.
