The reason why we have decided to carry out this project was very simple - a need for cultural understanding. The plain objective of the youth exchange was to prevent radicalism through understanding and what through comprehending of a "different culture". Main goals of the project were: - to make participants understand what makes them who they are in their own culture = the ability to see cultures through "new eyes" and how the cultural heritage of the country where they grew up formed and influenced them - to truly understand the differences of diverse cultural contexts and what makes every culture unique Our motivation was to show the importance of cultural heritage for each individual and to make young individuals realize how important their cultural roots are even if it is not always obvious. We are convinced that the need for cultural understanding is crucial in the fast-changing, interconnected and globalized world we live in. It is important is to be able to understand both - each´s own culture on a deeper level and a cultural concept in general
