Objectives

In many areas of public life there had been a tendency for social exclusion - racism, xenophobia, marginalisation, rejection, stereotypes and others. Youngsters have faced situations where they either were excluded temporary or permanently because of several reasons such as nationality, origin, height, weight, appearance, competences, etc. This was why young people seek for ways for more successful inclusive practices. They expressed the need to enrich their practice and competences with youth centred methods that was more attractive and effective. Sports and healthy lifestyle was considered to be among the best means for social inclusion. Multiple tools were suggested and delivered during healthy lifestyle activities, if they were combined with non-formal and informal learning, that could enhance social inclusion. The objectives of the project were: 1. Increased awareness on how non formal learning can support healthy lifestyle; 2. Assist young participants & youth workers developing and improving their practices of social inclusion through healthy lifestyle learning/activities, for their community and personal improvement; 3. Increased awareness on the benefits of non formal learning for healthy wellbeing (in short term) and social inclusion (in long term); 4. To support youth and youth workers in the acquisition of key competences with a view to improving their personal development 5. To support the professional development of young participants & youth workers with a view to innovating and improving the quality of their work in the framework of social inclusion in partners’ organisations; 6. To share successful practices and experiences in the field of healthy lifestyle and inclusion; 7. To bridge and acknowledge cultural differences between partner countries/participants; 8. To create long term partnerships for future collaboration in the field of youth;
