By carrying out this project, our partnership aimed to deepen our shared understanding of how to implement Gender Mainstreaming in everyday youth work, on practical, logistical, educational, emotional needs levels etc. Since the topic of gender is still very sensitive for many and is tightly connected with the topics of lifestyle, sexuality, cultural heritage and oftentimes social exclusion, we established a partnership of NGOs from different regions in Europe, including partner countries, who have a strong interest and motivation to work with these topics in their activities. Based on shared issues, needs and philosophy, we formulated the main goal of the TC: To enhance youth workers’ knowledge and competences of Gender Mainstreaming in order to increase equality and inclusion in their work with youth Therefore, the objectives of the TC were: 1.Deepening participants’ knowledge and understanding of gender equality and gender based social inclusion 2.Enhancing participants’ practical skills of gender mainstreaming in youth work 3.Creating the space for exploration of gender mainstreaming strategies in different cultural realities 4.Ensuring the exchange of good practices in implementing gender mainstreaming/equality 5.Promoting Gender Equality and Gender Mainstreaming as an essential part of European values and human rights
