With Love across borders, we would like to foster proper intercultural understanding and empathy as key factors for creating close relationships across culture. The long-term goal is to not only strengthen Paneuropean relationships and reinforce the European community feeling with this Youth Exchange, but also to emphasize the importance of an inclusive and open-minded society and create awareness of relationships in a broader context. We believe, that in order to face current global challenges such as climate change, ensuring basic human rights in the refugee crisis and fighting increasing right-wing populism, it is very important to have a well functioning collaboration between all the different member states of the European Union and to work together unitedly as a European (as well as global) team. In addition, the project sets the base for global peace development through addressing the SDGs no. 5 (gender equality), no. 16 (peace, justice and strong institutions) and no. 17 (partnerships for the goals).
