Countries: DK · Grant: €255,464

Objectives

We have a strong desire to provide young people with internships abroad. We have been sending students abroad for more than 20 years and can clearly see how even a short stay significantly matures the students and strengthens them both professionally, linguistically, and culturally. The project helps to implement the following skills: 1. Increased language competencies 2. Greater intercultural understanding 3. Better collaboration skills 4. Enhanced basic professional competencies 5. Improved job opportunities both domestically and internationally Through the project, we will build cooperation with schools in Finland and the Netherlands to strengthen our international network and competence development. We want to give more teachers the opportunity to participate in job shadowing or as accompanying teachers, to spread the project to as many sectors in the schools as possible.

Background

With the help of Erasmus funds, we aim to increase the number of students and staff participating in mobilities within agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and veterinary nursing education. Additionally, we want to get more students and staff from various sectors from each of our schools into professional and cultural contexts (e.g., carpenters, joiners, web developers). Our goal is to promote internationalization and develop both professional and cultural competencies. We will maintain and strengthen our good relationships with foreign companies and educational institutions to ensure continuous internships. As we send more younger students abroad, we see a need for accompanying teachers to ensure close follow-up. We want to strengthen Erasmus Pro because we believe this program can provide more students with the opportunity for longer stays with good contact from the start through Advanced Planning Visits. We believe that this project can create high-quality stays, giving young people the opportunity to build on their experiences, strengthen their schooling, and develop into more confident individuals. Additionally, we wish to continue strengthening internationalization, which is one of the school’s key focus areas.
