Countries: DK · Grant: €23,602

Objectives

As a part of our renewed international strategy, we wish to widen internationalisation and to bring approaches to the study programme level reflecting our European identity as well as global outlook. In order to achieve these goals, we need teaching staff with an international mind set, good cultural understanding, and excellent linguistic competences. These competences will be required to the extent that the teachers are able to combine these elements into subject contents that are relevant and into a crosscutting feature in an English study programme. German project partners are also very important in order to constantly offer possibilities for short practical training stays for learners. Germany potentially offers career and employment opportunities for those learners who wishes to work internationally and achieve work experience in big companies typically. Short practical mobilities and perhaps followed by longer stays (like one year stays under the "Practical training abroad" programme. In order to keep a constant good level of awareness of the possibilities in one of Denmark´s biggest trade partners, TietgenSkolen seeks to send and host learners and staff Germany especially, as well as European countries. https://tietgenskolen.dk/hovedforloeb/oplaering-i-udlandet

Background

Tietgen wishes to be actively keeping close relations to European schools with expertise in the areas of the project's objectives. Through participation in courses with an international participation, shadow learning including exchanges of views and experiences as well as through developing relationships for further collaboration. This mobility project will focus on building a thoroughly international mind-set for the planning and implementation of a stronger mobility "programme" with our partners in Germany and for our learners. This is on the background of Brexit and that TietgenSkolen enjoys a lot of good mutual partnerships with VET schools in Germany. Furthermore, this approach is seen by Tietgen’s leadership to carry additional advantages of “being born globalised” and with a network of international partners to make it sustainable from the view point of sharing of inspiration in future years.
