Objectives

The aim of the project was to increase competence of school head and English teacher. The headmaster's goal was to gain new knowledge of learning/teaching based on neuroscience in order to be the leader of a modern learning concept in our organization. English teachers had to learn how to use digital technology in classroom. The purpose of participating in teacher training was to offer students alternative methods for everyday learning, take advantage of the school's opportunities for more interactive learning and encourage other teachers to use the existing ones to seize opportunities.

Background

The project was initiated in the beginning of 2020. At this moment the new development plan of school set new development directions towards to student centered teaching. The new approach to learning had not yet entered the daily practice of teachers. The teachers and also the school management needed additional training. Also, in development plan, the goals of international cooperation are set as follows: 1) Developing students' general competencies and increasing competitiveness; including the development of students' knowledge and skills to study/work in a multicultural environment and to facilitate the free movement of labor. 2) Increasing the competence and professionalism of educational workers; 3) Getting to know and applying the modern learning approach. 4) Diversification of the learning environment.
