Objectives

The main objectives we wanted to achieve, based on the school's interests, were the following: 1. strengthening the international dimension, 2. enhancing foreign language learning and involving students and teachers in international activities, 3. increasing the importance of information and communication technology (ICT) and creating integrations between ICT and different subjects.

Background

For Illuka School, this was the second KA1 project. Illuka School applied for this project because we wanted to enhance the professional competences of the school's management and teachers, increase entrepreneurship, and develop social skills. One of the significant objectives derived from the school's development plan was to transform the learning environment into a more entrepreneurial and creative one, aiming to achieve and maintain the Entrepreneurial School Silver level. The Entrepreneurial School Silver quality label was awarded to the school on October 6, 2022, during the Ida-Viru Education Gala. This quality label is granted to the school for a duration of three years, which means the school must maintain this level and has the ambition to strive for the Gold level in the present and future. Erasmus+ KA1 projects provide teachers and school management with an international opportunity to develop within the framework of lifelong learning and serve as a motivating factor for many in their professional development.
