Objectives

By implementing the project's activities, we wanted to enable the pedagogical staff of the institution to improve their professional knowledge in a foreign language and cultural environment by leaving the daily routine. The aim of the job shadowing was to promote cooperative relations with Spanish and Greek educational institutions, getting to know the implementation of different ways of working and learning from good practices. European inner migration has brought many families to Estonia, whose language and culture are different from ours, that's why it was also importnat for us to gain knowledge about how to teach in a multicultural environment. The purpose for attending the professional training was to improve knowledge about the promotion of social-emotional skills in the kindergarten curriculum. As a result of the implementation of the project, it became possible to establish contacts with colleagues in Spain and Greece, only with the presence of international partners can we develop new cooperation plans.

Background

Mobility enables to promote communication with foreign partners, to gather new ideas by observing and analysing the work of colleagues working in host organisations. It is not possible to have such a unique experience in our institution or country, which is why Erasmus+ programme projects are important for us in human resources development. The project made it possible to implement the goals of international cooperation of the institutions, creating conditions for intercultural learning, expanding the knowledge of pedagogical staff about the diversity of Europe and its values. Learning from good practices in European countries supports the implementation of more diverse ways of working in our organisation, allows teachers to broaden their understanding of the challenges faced by European educational institutions. The implemented project supported communication with colleagues from other countries, helped to see common ground and differences, analyze ways for solving challenges.
