Objectives

Vision for the school by 2025: "Tallinn Industrial Education Center is an innovative and lifelong learning center for the needs of the labor market". Based on this a project „Professional project experience through mobility- EriP“ has been created. During the mobility the students will prepare project work abroad, which contains: task/goal setting; a description of the technical facilities, materials and activities; illustrative photos and videos; a comparison of working culture and technology in the partner country; process analysis and highlighted positive and negative aspects. The result of the project will help the school to: • compare the wishes, expectations and work culture differences of EU employers; • compare the development of study organization and technology (techniques and equipment); • develop students' entrepreneurial skills and competences in a multicultural environment, which is an advantage when entering and staying in the labor market; • internationalize VET and enable learners to develop themselves; • develop mutual understanding among students, to motivate students to learn; • teach collaborative skills and develop readiness for lifelong learning. In addition, the project provides students with an experience of independent living. It broadens students' professional horizons, broadens their knowledge, and develops learning opportunities that lead to the acquisition of new professional competencies that provide an advantage for successful performance in the future workplace.

Background

Implementing this project is important to the school, as it supports learning opportunities and development of study groups. It also helps partners to understand each other's learning systems better, to learn from each other on the whole and to create high quality customized learning opportunities for the future. The project helps to support the mission of the school: "To provide competitive vocational training, and educate professionals in their field, in primary education, continuing and retraining education as lifelong learning".
