The important question about the safe use of Internet networks was offered to us by participants during one of the previous youth exchanges. We also considered it to be very important, and this is one of the reasons why we want to create a youth project on the topic of Internet security and cyber safety. Our project was aimed at studying young people about the safety of this dynamic environment, online security, and modern technologies. The project «Internet Security» took place in Aegviidu, Estonia, and united young people from 5 countries. The youth exchange was based on a really high demand around this topic that we regularly hear from young people from our NGO, as well as from the partner ones, considers the risks that the Internet creates, and gives advice on ways to mitigate it. One such advice for young people was to actively protect their privacy online. To solve this problem young people have realized the following objectives: 1. to organize a platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience among participants during the youth exchange on the topic of internet security; 2. analysis of the main ways of interaction of modern youth with the Internet space; 3. to attract young people attention to the problem of the safe use of internet resources; 4. identification of gaps in knowledge of young people on the problem of security on the Internet; 5. a set of recommendations and specific actions that will help to ensure security on the Internet; 6. to provide methodological assistance to young people on issues of information security; 7. to create conditions for young people in the understanding of their own Internet culture; 8. to acquaint participants with the laws that ensure information security; 9. to form a responsible attitude and awareness of the importance of safe behavior in the cyberspace. All of the above was achieved using various methods of non-formal education and workshops. In addition, during the youth exchange we, together with the partner organization, achieved the following results for participants, such as: participants studied the legal basis of information security from the it-specialists; found out what information could damage themselves; were able to independently determine the degree of their Internet addiction, and so on. During the project on the Internet security thematic, we and partners wanted to raise the reflections among young people on the general objectives and important features of the ERASMUS+ program. Throughout the project, participants were encouraged to learn and analyze, through various methods of non-formal education, relevant topics such as: Internet of things; online rights and responsibilities; fake news and alternative facts; online communication; online relationships; passwords; protection of electronic devices connected to the Internet; digital footprint and others.
