Modern life style and fast rhythm of life often keeps families apart in social aspect– children and their parents live in their own separate worlds, they have different interests, values and ways of communication. We decided to make a positive impact on making people from different generations more united socially. During the project, people from different countries (Estonia, Bulgaria and Latvia) will exchange experiences in organisation of creative activities for groups with parents and their children. All partners are cultural and educational organisations that understand the social importance of creative activities that can involve the whole family. Partners will explore how different similar organisations operate in their regions. Their own and others experience will be analysed and tested by the project team during big cultural events in partner countries. By the end of the project participants will explore and develop real methods of working with families so this kind of activities will be a part of their casual working routine. The amount of generation conflicts in the society will be reduced.
While implementing the project, each partner wanted to show their own methods, experience, and solutions that they use in the field of family creativity. At the same time, each partner wanted to see the methods of other project participants. During the project, work meetings were held, at which all partners discussed, analyzed, and came up with new ideas and solutions for family education, and these methods were immediately tested at the project events. As a result, each of the partners had to receive a complete database of methods that were used by other partners and that were invented during the project.
All three partners of the project have been organizing creative activities for children and adults for more than ten years. According to tradition, the education of children and adults took place separately in various areas. The methodology of such classes was clearly focused on different age groups, and the methods and methodologies of teacher’s and master’s work were also adapted to separate adult and children's groups. In the past few years, all our partner organizations have felt the demand of society for co-learning and creativity of different generations of adults and children at the same time. Such a need has arisen both from the side of modern parents and society as a whole. Various studies by scientists and specialists in social pedagogy have proven the importance of strengthening social ties in the family through co-creativity. Our organizations had very little experience in conducting family classes, and we decided that together all three partners could generalize and systematize personal experience into a common methodological material. Such material will help the project participants to engage in the organization of family education and creativity fully.
