We applied for the Youth Specific Art Project because we recognized the immense potential of art as a tool for youth empowerment and the positive impact it has on local communities. Our experience with implementing art activities alongside young people has shown us how powerful art can be in driving personal growth, social cohesion, and cultural awareness. The needs we addressed in this project include: Fostering youth empowerment: By providing opportunities for young people to implement their own ideas and initiatives, we aimed to boost their creativity, entrepreneurial mindset, and self-confidence. Encouraging cultural exchange: By bringing together young artists from diverse European backgrounds, we sought to create a "melting pot" of cultures, promoting understanding, tolerance, and collaboration among participants. Enhancing organizational capacity: By partnering with organizations that specialize in various art forms and have different levels of experience in youth work, we aimed to create a rich and fruitful exchange of knowledge, skills, and best practices. Supporting young people with fewer opportunities: We specifically focused on engaging youth with fewer opportunities to ensure they have equal access to creative outlets and personal development. Embracing digital solutions: In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we recognized the importance of exploring digital solutions in the art and youth work fields, allowing art to continue connecting people even in challenging times. By participating in this project, we hoped to address these needs, contribute to the development of young people's artistic talents, and enhance their ability to address current challenges, needs, and crises through creative and innovative solutions.
