With this project we wanted to achieve: a) improving the skills of our students for creative and critical thinking, meaningful participation in social life utilizing the possibilities of technology. More specifically, we want our students to perceive technology as an opportunity for expression, creation, collaboration and learning. The knowledge and tools which the teachers gained from participating in this project enhanced their effectiveness as they transferred and applied modern methods of teaching, motivating and assessing students already in use in other countries. b) the professional and personal development of teachers. The teachers' participation in the project helped to improve their professional, language and digital skills and boost their professional confidence. c) the continuous involvement of the school in European projects. Participating teachers help to form a dynamic and constantly renewed group of teachers who seek school partnerships with European schools and permanent participation in the modern educational process.
Our school is located in Platykambos, a village of Larissa, in an area that is predominantly rural, relatively close to the sea. Our students come mostly from rural or immigrant families with relatively low income. We have 230 students. 5% of our students have diagnosed learning difficulties. Students from other countries also attend. The teachers' association consists of 28 teachers of different specialties and different educational service and training. Many of them have no experience in European projects and stated that they need support and training. Given this, an effort is being made for continuous training and involvement of all teachers in European actions. In recent years, our school has been implementing European projects and aims at its development through the exchange of experiences and good practices with other schools abroad. At the time we wrote the proposal, our school also participated in a project of the Region of Thessaly for the installation of additional modern ICT equipment, which we received the following school year. Many of our teachers had no experience of integrating ICT into the teaching practice, so their training was necessary.
