The objectives of the program were: - the acquaintance with new approaches, methods and games that promote emotional and social intelligence - improving the ability of participating teachers to design and utilize activities aimed at enhancing students' multicultural interaction and developing relationships between them - improving their ability to leverage educational activities as a tool to enhance students' social and emotional interaction.
Greece, as a member of the European Union, has accepted and continues to accept a large number of refugees. Wanting to respond in the best possible way to this new need of our school, we decided to be more active in the field of multicultural education. So, a new need arose in our school. The need to empower refugee students and their parents and guardians, host teachers, host students and parents with the necessary cognitive, social and emotional skills to achieve the smoothest possible integration into school and society and to eliminate any form of their exclusion.
