Objectives

The main objective of the project was to improve the quality of education through the training of both teachers and education executives. Familiarity with modern international scientific methods and stress management techniques provides the skills so that teachers can manage the challenges in their everyday educational reality more effectively. Training on innovative practices and experiential workshops in school management broadens teachers' horizons and improves their school life. In addition, new and updated knowledge enhances teachers' efficiency and renews their interest and working style. The exchange of good practices and experiences and the implementation of pedagogical and technological innovations achieved through the participation of teachers in structured courses will enrich their knowledge and contribute to a pleasant creative school climate that will create the conditions for the implementation of interesting educational projects and facilitate the unhindered learning of students.

Background

The Directorate of Primary Education of Thesprotia has recently set as one of their priorities the continuous and effective training of their personnel in both educational and administrative matters. Taking into account the opportunities offered by the European Programs, the Directorate believes that the participation of their staff in these programs will meet the need for substantial and targeted training, and participants will be able to address the increasing challenges of the Greek Schools based on modern European standards. According to the Directorate's archives and the reports of school heads on issues they face daily and for which they seek guidance and support, it was considered necessary to continuously train teachers and staff on human resources management, cooperation and communication techniques, conflict management and school management in innovative ways. For these reasons, these particular priorities were chosen.
