Our goal was for our teachers to: - Develop communication, collaboration, creativity and inventiveness skills and enrich their teaching methods to make the learning environment more attractive. - Improve the way of using digital tools and critical thinking, in order to develop digital literacy. - Highlight the cultural dimension of education. The aim is to utilize the cultural elements for the creation of supervisory material, which we will use during our European partnerships, but also in the detailed curriculum. - Better understand European Education and integrate the European Dimension in the school in order to cultivate flexible European citizens with developed capacities of understanding and tolerance. The aim is to eliminate racism and conflicts. - Strengthen extroversion with teacher communities in Europe, to create links with other European schools, with the aim of continuous exchange of ideas and the development of sustainable cooperation in European partnerships. - Improve their language skills in authentic foreign language teaching environments.
Our school has a strong European orientation. Through the seminar and the job shadowing, our aim was to strengthen the profile of our teachers and to become members of a wider network of European collaborators and partners for the development of further European partnerships. After research but also from our experience in the classroom, we realized the importance of the soft skills of Communication, Collaboration, Creativity and Critical Thinking in the formation of our students and we felt that this program can equip us with skills and methods, which comply with the need to give a cultural, digital and European dimension to our teaching. Also, we wanted our teachers to know and understand practices and activities from different European education systems that will increase their potential to enrich the educational process. Finally, it was our wish that the school staff be trained in classroom management methods that promote the inclusion and more effective integration of students from problematic socio-economic environments.
